Father Braeburn
Dear Father Braeburn,
I hope you are well in health, as when I left you, you were in sore health so I feared that this letter may have been in vain.
Nevertheless, you asked that a week or so after I had arrived in Heonia to send you a letter of my progress in spreading the good word of the church.
In the areas of conversion, so far... it has been quite unproductive. These people are even more stiff-necked than those in the cities of Lowen. Moreover, there is already a powerful church taking control of the island. It is called the Church of the Golden Spear. I imagine you know of it, as you did not grow up isolated from the world like I did. I fear that they plan to either force me into submission, or end my life.
Their priest, Father Michael Lupin, believes me a heretic, and even those of the Lowen camp believe my teachings evil... driving one to the point of constantly giving threats, some by action not word... I fear he might act on these threats soon.
I came to this island with your blessing, and the hope that I might be able to spread the kindness and goodness of the church to the colonists. Yet, only a small few have actually listened to my preaching, and all others call me mad. I only hope that the few friends I have made will help me in changing the hearts of these men and women for the better... before it's too late.
The only bit of good news is that one of the other nations, of whom I will not name for their sake, has given me permission to build a church. Construction is going along slowly, as I am doing most of the work myself (as is your teachings to do so). It should be done soon.
But ignoring all of that, there is something else I fear is far more important, at least temporally. Something that I fear may affect the balance of this island, and of all our lives, of which I need your wisdom on.
There is something far more powerful than anything I've seen before. A sorceress perhaps? She came before the leaders of the island and called them, in summary: fools. But she also spake of us having great potential, and that should our souls be trained that we might become powerful? I am not sure what she means by that. But also, she spoke of a another power alike ours that is spreading about the island. A power that may overwhelm us. A sense of great dread arose in my heart when she told us these things...
I do not know what she means, and I ask for your guidance. Please, tell me what I am to do. For I do not know how to help these people. From both this unknown enemy, and from themselves.
Please respond with all due haste.

((Out of the letter, and unknown to Urulóki, Father Braeburn is long dead. The letter arrives instead to the post master, who decides to read it (so that he may respond to the sender to inform them of Braeburn's death). This Post Master now knows all about the occurrences on the island. Do what you will with this bit of plot.))
