A book would be found in inadequate shape within the Lowen colony of Oakforest. Although the book appears to be written in a contemporary time, many pages are missing and the ink is smeared on some pages. On the first page the letters 'C. A.' would be written.
This would be common knowledge of Lowen people.
Title: The Timeline of Kings
“And they would slave away for this… this king who would do nothing for them! If we didn’t flee when we did… We wouldn’t have lived…”
Jonas The Loud
The Founding of Davenport
With successful attempt to escape Tynus’ Dominion, Arnulf of Lowen established his lifelong task to find a place where he and his people could prosper. Located in the Western Sea, the Pandice River provided a fertile coastline sufficient to sustain life. Most importantly, it was far across the Feljax Mountains and out of the Tynus’ reach. It was there Arnulf of Lowen proclaimed his people shall live, grow, and prosper, and thereafter, the people who followed Arnulf claimed themselves to be citizens of Davenport in the Kingdom of Lowen. As the seasons changed, the small agricultural settlement began to grow, and people seeking safety from the Mad King found themselves protected in Lowen if they could make it there.
The Harvest Massacre
The settlement of Davenport was prospering well in the late years of Arnulf. However, invasion of Tynus the Mad’s vast battalions were a constant threat. Before Arnulf’s death, he bestowed the leadership of the Lowen people under his son, Prium. Arnulf’s final task was to guarantee the safety of his people after his passing. The people of Davenport began to construct mighty walls to protect themselves from any outside forces, should they come. Additionally, Arnulf ordered that men be placed near the Feljax mountain pass to forewarn the city of Davenport of any strange activity. The day after the wall around Davenport was finished, Arnulf passed away in his sleep. Arnulf will forever be known as Arnulf the Founder, First King of Lowen. As weeks passed, and the continuation of people fleeing from Tynus’ Dominion, Tynus grew more furious at the Kingdom of Lowen. Word was brought by Kepeske the Quick to Prium, the new head of Davenport, and the Kingdom of Lowen, that Tynus’ had assembled a giant army and they were headed in the direction of Davenport. Their march would take days, if not weeks for them to finally arrive, which allowed the people of Davenport to amass resources and prepare for their city to be besieged. During the last day of a prosperous harvest, Tynus’ forces arrived which caught the people of Davenport by surprise. Anyone outside of the wall was brutally tortured and murdered.
“… And as we looked from the mighty walls our husbands and sons built, we could see the large pyres engulfed in flames. The people… The people were burned to death. Their screams could be heard throughout the city.”
- Unknown
Two Kingdoms War
Although Tynus’ Dominion was sufficiently prepared, the brutal march over the Feljax Mountains and to Davenport took its tool. Tynus’ vast armies had low moral as their supplies continue to deplete. The guard of Davenport continuously attempted to surprise raid the camps set up outside their city. It was a miracle that the citizens within the walls gathered most of their harvest, which would last them throughout the dry season. Unfortunately for Tynus, his men were growing hungry, and their moral continued to fade.
Prium issued a notice to all the people of Davenport to gather in the city center before dusk. He was to lead the largest unit of able-bodied men to assault the camps outside. It was a last resort for the people of Davenport to gain their freedom from the Mad King. Prium stated that in the next night, they would charge the enemy camps with the attempt to burn everything they had, as well as, kill any foe in their way.
Shortly into the assault, and the burning of many of Tynus’ supply camps, the men who besieged the city began to break. During their retreat, Tynus in a crazy frenzy began to attack his men running. Finally, Louis the Savior, one of Tynus’ generals, stabbed him in the back, ultimately bringing the war to an end.
Within days, the men who came over the mountain to fight another man’s war began to head back towards where they came. Those who were injured were aided by the people of Davenport, and if any wished to stay, in a place where persecution was frowned upon, they could.
The Reign of Prium I
Davenport continued to thrive as people were freely able to cross the Feljax’s. Additionally, Tynus’ entire regime fell with the word of his death. Tynus was a name which was not to be spoken of as it implied crazed evil.
Colonies began to sprout up along the river and coastline of the kingdom. Under Prium, the kingdom grew to heights which it had never seen before.
Prium lived a short life. While hunting, a branch fell on him killing him on the spot. It was assumed his neck was broken from the blunt force. Prium was wed to a woman from Ashcalon, a small colony near the Feljax mountains. They had three children, heir to Davenport, Hector, Sigmus, and Gwen. Prium has since been referred to as Prium the Brave for his acting during the Two Kingdoms War.
DAVEN FAMILY
The Reign of Hector I
Under Hector, the Kingdom of Lowen grew into a strong kingdom. There were now larger cities such as Ashcalon, which was near the Feljax mountains, and Brumin, which was closer to the coastline. The first crowning ceremony of any Lowen man took place on Arnulf the Founders birthday. This would be known forever as Crowning Day. Assuming the throne of Davenport, Hector became Hector Daven I of Lowen. Following, every predecessor of Arnulf had become a member of the Daven family tree.
To ensure the safety of the kingdom, Hector continuously improved the military. Despite that, Hector did little as king. At Hector’s death, he had no male heir. Therefore, on the day of his death, Sigmus was crowned king. Hector would be known as Hector the Hesitant due to his lack of innovation for the kingdom besides military improvement.

“It was a sad day throughout the kingdom. People could be seen mourning the murder of the king, expect his son did not seem upset. Something just didn’t seem right…”
- Bartholomew Ash, a hand of the king.
The Reign of Pius I
On Crowning Day, Pius Daven of Lowen assumed the throne of Davenport and all the lands controlled by the Kingdom of Lowen. The murder of Sigmus was unexpected, and some assume Pius carried out the act to poison his own father. What would drive a son to do such a thing?

The Reign of Pius II
After the kingdom settled from the devastating civil war, Ashcalon lay in ruin. Efforts would begin to rebuild the city, and Pius II intended to improve relations with states within the kingdom. The other cities were no match for the might of Davenport, a theory which was proven throughout the fighting. Pius II wed Celine Faust of Northrun in the attempt to end the quarrel which started the civil war. Pius and Celine had no children, leaving the throne open. After Pius’ death, he was known as Pius the Innocent.
FAUST FAMILY
The Reign of Abraham I
Celine’s eldest brother was crowned King Abraham Faust I of Lowen. The reign of the Daven family had ended. A new family now controlled the throne of the kingdom, as well as Davenport. Despite a likelihood of failure, Abraham was a kind-hearted man who intended to expand the kingdom through peace. Before assuming the throne, Abraham was wed to a noble’s daughter in Davenport, and they had one child, Magdalen. On a diplomatic trip to the southern city of Heltzen, Abraham’s ship sank during a vicious storm in the Western Sea. Abraham and Lysa, the Queen perished at sea. Their daughter, who had recently married Prium Sofrant of Ashcalon was the only heir. Abraham was known as Abraham the Kind after his death.
SOFRANT FAMILY
The Reign of Prium II
The throne once against switched families, this time to a noble from Ashcalon, a city which was destroyed by the Daven’s decades prior. Prium Sofrant of Ashcalon was crowned king of Lowen. He was henceforth known as Prium II of Lowen. He was titled the second, although he was a Sofrant not a Daven. Although the kingdom was in a sustainable condition, it was apparent people were not growing as they did, despite the prosperous land and sea. Prium II controlled the largest amount of land any Lowen king had ever. The major cities consisted of Davenport, Brumin, Aschalon, Northrun, Heltzen, Surmina, and Dredgegarden. Besides the larger cities, the kingdom of Lowen composed of many smaller towns and settlements as well.
Prium II died of a sudden illness. While traveling throughout the High Castle of Davenport he dropped to the ground and remained unconscious until his death. His wife had passed away years prior due to childbirth where he also lost his youngest daughter. Prium had four sons, Ajax, Adrean, and twins, Avon and Asos. Ajax was crowned king on Crowning Day, and Prium II was known as Prium II the New thereafter his passing.
