Have you read the rules?: Yes.
Have you read the introduction lore?: Yes.
Out of Character
Minecraft IGN: Eldritchian
Age: 15 in March.
How did you hear about us?: Through Minecraft Forums (and endless searching through Vanilla/Factions servers.)
What made you want to join us?: I've been mostly scouting for a good RP server with more lenient character design as to see if the character I'll be writing about is allowed into any sort of server due to some rather obvious notes. (Don't worry it's not God I'm not that stupid.)
What is Roleplaying?: Roleplaying means to essentially take on any character that you can imagine from a fearsome dragon that has a particular affinity for knitting three hundred years ago in an alternative reality to a shy mech-riding squirrel that only uses shurikens (instead of his mech) in 2671 and then act out their interactions with other characters who could be as well, any range. Although most roleplaying has a scenario too, where the interactions, technology, and character types must be somewhat limited to fit accordingly.
What is Metagaming?: Metagaming is the overly annoying (and sometimes unintentional) act of using information only you as the roleplayer OOC know to influence your actions in any possible way ICly. While some cases may be subtle, some cases may be running up to a murderer who'd been totally wiped from all systems and then calling them out to the police. It's annoying and can potentially destroy mystery in an RP.
What is Powergaming?: Powergaming is forcing a usually unwelcome action onto another RPer without giving them chance to react without your actions already having been carried out. For example:
Runic gave his literal skull splitting scowl, lowering his head and dashing forward, tackling [x] to the ground with him landing on top. It reared back, slamming a punch into [x]'s face with brutal force.
This is an example of powergaming. After tackling, you assume that your action passed and force the other RPer to instead react to being punched in the face. Instead, this could be tried:
Runic gave his literal skull splitting scowl, lowering his head and dashing forward, sending himself flying in an attempt to tackle [x].
This forces no action on the other player in any way (except now they probably should dodge) unlike the above message which assumes that the tackle worked undebatably.
Character Creation
Name: Runic
Age: 33.
Gender: Genderless, but refers to self as male.
Origin: Exedia
Biography: Runic's appearance, way of creation and his own existence all scream abomination. While Runic is not an Exedian citizen, he is a sad combination of the magical and arcane nature of Heonia and one of the many immoral experiments carried out by Exedia. His very existence is questionable to a large extent though, as he defies all prior knowledge to any abominations. Runic's odd nature, undescribable appearance and somewhat mystic creation suggests Exedia was not the only force in his horrific creation, and instead something more sinister guided his birth.
Runic was created long before all five nations found their way to Heonia, when Exedia was first experimenting and documenting with the mystic arcane ability of Heonia. It may have been Exedia's interference that caused his mangled form to become as sentient as a human. At the start of his creation, his form was a shapeless blob. As he raised himself, watched over by curious Exedians, he would start to drain off something in Heonia. It's believed to be the odd magical power that Heonia is known for, however even in the present he does not seem to possess any special affinity for magic although seeming otherworldly in his nature.
The 'blob' would slowly start to take shape into an abnormally small human, growing two eyes and slowly gaining odd green glowing markings on his body. His form would start to shape at around fifteen years old. By the time he was nearly twenty, he was decidedly dangerous and uncontrollable and was let loose to Heonia due to failure to contain and study him. He'd continue feeding, finishing his own form entirely with very little or no interaction with any who weren't Exedians that had to make sure he wasn't creating havoc.
His personality is unpredictable, to say the least. Runic has a bad temper and proved to have an overly vulgar mouth. It's presumed one way or another he was able to absorb knowledge of the language and the unknown nature of his existence from the careless chatter that surrounded him. Despite his bad temper, at most regular times he's rude and someone uncaring of other's opinions. He does show human-like emotions despite this, shown to be guilty about unusual acts as opposed to the regular sources of guilt. His backstory as limited. Due to being an experiment, the closest father he had was a scientist who gave up his pursuit of knowledge on Heonia soon after creating him, claiming that everyone at Heonia was in grave danger. He was raving mad that he'd 'made' something like this abomination.
Runic now freely roams Heonia, showing an uncharacteristic liking towards any with Exedian origins. But with the five nations arriving to do their own investigation into the magical island, there may be a shift in his so far carefree existence.
Your character's physical appearance: Runic takes on the clear shape of a human with two averagely sized legs, two averagely sized arms, a head and a somewhat slim torso. His form is thin and somewhat lanky although he doesn't cease to be terrifying to most. He has four, mishaped, dim green eyes across his face. His skin is a heavy black with gentle patterns, although from a distance he's pure night black in tone. He has rather constantly glowing green 'scratches' all across his form that pulsate eerily, emitting a small light.
Runic does have a distinct mouth, although his teeth are yellow and he has no lips. His mouth crosses around where his cheeks would be, meaning if he opened his mouth fully it'd be like he was cracked open. At the lower half of his torso, where a normal person's belly would be is a gaping mouth with crooked teeth and constantly dripping blood. He was never observed to eat with his actual mouth, but nothing suggested he eats alive prey often enough to be dripping whenever his second mouth is open.
Your character's strengths and weaknesses: Runic is shown to prefer using anything ranged when fighting in experimental situations, showing he may be a better archer than a swordfighter. When forced to use a close combat option, he may choose a dagger or start wailing with his fists. Contrary to his thin stature, he packs an above average punch and a higher jump, appearing oddly athletic if it wasn't for the fact he was somewhat slow.
Runic even through extensive training is known not to tire out unless under extreme conditions. When asked to do most tasks that are considered a job, he shows a certain affinity for cutting down trees with an axe or trying to eat the tree. Nothing compares to the fact he proves to be an overly amazing sailor, and is said to 'act like an excited kid' when told he was going to sail in a boat.
Despite that, he displays a hatred for fishing, building and total refusal to learn any arcane arts like enchantment, alchemy or magic. When exposed to any cold environments or objects like snow or ice, he's known to recoil back in fear. Even when he's in a mildly cold area, he shows a drop in mood. Heat doesn't seem to bother him too much.
Due to his exposure, or lack thereof of human interaction or general education, he has a hard time conveying his own feelings and generally communicating with anyone he's talking with. Runic also lacks basic knowledge due to no proper education in several areas that most humans would require knowledge of.
Strengths:
Ranged Weapons.
Athletic (to some extent)
Hard to tire out
Lumberjacking
Sailing
Weaknesses:
Fishing
Building
All Arcane Arts
Cold (in any form)
Slower than a human
Communication/Talking
Not Smart
