How did you hear about us?:
Searching around the Minecraft Forums for a roleplay to join.
What made you want to join us?:
I've been craving a good Minecraft roleplay as of late, and you guys seemed like a good candidate!
What is Roleplaying?:
Roleplaying is essentially a form of acting; stepping into the shoes of another mindset besides your own and (in this case) writing out their actions according to character.
What is Metagaming?:
Metagaming is the act of exploiting otherwise out-of-character information in-character. A good example is your character suddenly knowing exactly when and where a war is going to begin, simply because you heard OOC that it was planned to happen.
What is Powergaming?:
Powergaming is, as the name implies, making your character unreasonably powerful through unrealistic means. It's a bit of an umbrella term, but an example scenario is having my character leap out of the bushes to lop off your character's head in one fell swoop without a chance for you to react. It's both unrealistic and not allowing you a chance to resist.

Biography: Yue was an odd child, born from an affair and out of wedlock. Her mother stuck around long enough only for her to be born before fleeing without a trace, leaving Yue with her father whom was still reeling from the ordeal. Determined not to leave Yue with a horrible future, he kept the child and traveled the known land with her, moving from caravan to caravan in the traditional Slaryn lifestyle. It was a difficult and turbulent life, but Yue found herself growing into adolescence with the vigor and ambition to take on anything life threw her way. She was hotheaded and tended to act before thinking, but beyond the rough conditioning she was a girl that secretly longed for a more stable life. When she was old enough, she began a tradition of giving close friends in a caravan a white tulip before they were to depart to join another. It was her way of signifying the significance of the friendship to her, and as an unspoken promise to find each other should they ever cross paths again.
Suffice to say, she is a wayward soul with many people she hopes to meet again one day.
When she heard about the expeditions to the island of Heonia, Yue felt herself excited by the prospect of traveling to an entirely new and magical land. Perhaps she would meet some of her old friends along the way? And perhaps she'd finally have a chance of settling down? It was then she decided she would travel on one of these expeditions, alone without her father. The night the boat was to leave, Yue left a note and white tulip for her father to find in the morning. It spoke of where she planned to go, and what she planned to do. She assured him that she'd be fine, and that they would meet again soon enough. It was then that she stowed away on one of the expedition ships, embarking on her newfound adventure.
Your character's physical appearance: Yue stands roughly at 5'4 with her boots on and is slender in stature. She sticks out like a sore thumb in a crowd, with her pale skin, blue eyes and dyed white hair. She proudly proclaims her "signature" look is denoted by a blue strip of fabric which she tends to always have draped around her in a makeshift and tattered cape. She tends to wear it so it's partially covering her mouth, though this is adapted from her time in the snowy part of the region. Her typical outfit has her wearing traveler's gear, partially constructed out of dark stained leather with a few metal bits here and there. It is fitted in such a way to provide some minuscule amounts of protection, while allowing her the nimbleness she needs.
Your character's strengths and weaknesses: Yue is notably honorable, fueled by a search for justice and good-doing. She is unlikely to raise the attack unless in self defense, as she considers herself on the side of good. She is also very ambitious, and will often find herself throwing herself into any given situation with the vigor to get through it.
This is, however, a double edged sword-- She is prone to being very reckless because of this, either to the point of getting herself hurt or someone else in danger. Rash and naive, she is also easily manipulable should someone play their cards right. She also has a tendency to be act independent to a fault; unnecessarily guarded and flamboyant around new people until she warms up to them. She is often times too prideful to accept help willingly unless the situation direly calls for it.
